NASHVILLE–Many people want a piece of Jaromir Jagr during the All-Star weekend. Voted in as captain of the Atlantic Division team that will meet the Metropolitan Division stars in a qualifying game, Jaromir Jagr was the first star of media day.
JAGRometer.com assembled the best and will add more as it becomes available to enjoy leading up to Saturday evening’s skills competition and Sunday’s first ever, three-on-three, single elimination tournament, a winner-take-all $1 million prize to be split among the winning team.

Earlier in the week Toronto Maple Leafs Coach Mike Babcock admits he hopes to get an autographed Jaromir Jagr stick from the legend this weekend. That looks like it’s going to be a long line as learned in this article from Tampa Bay today
Stamkos and Babcock have a lot of competition.
The back story on Matt Duchene’s quest for a signed Jaromir Jagr stick.
Media day brings with it a large contingent of reporters hoping to get in a question. Like the athletes themselves, sometimes the reporters choke and ask a less than dazzling question. In Jagr’s response you know what the question was:
Jagr, who is 43, on how old he feels: “42.”
More from Jagr on wanting to earn a Cup on the ice…
Jaromir Jagr on the Stanley Cup today: “If someone comes to me right now and brings the Cup, I’m not gonna take it…you have to earn it.”
Aaron Ekblad puts things in perspective: “[Jagr] scored his 200th goal the day I was born. That’s a pretty cool stat I learned last year”
Earlier Friday morning Jagr and Metropolitan Division captain John Tavares assigned their eastern conference teammates their roles in the skill competiion. Jagr will be a passer on a couple of the events as well as take a shot in the shootout.
You don’t want to go for fastest skater? JAGR: “I don’t want to embarrass anybody out there. What about if I win, at my age?”
Jagr: I don’t pay attention to age jokes http://es.pn/1JMCf8W
NEW NEW NEW Saturday AM

Clad in different Jagr jerseys and hair styles from 68’s career, they gained league-wide recognition when they caught Jagr’s attention during a pre-game skate of a Dallas Stars game in Canada during the 2012-2013 season. Since then, they convene at games in Western Canada and make a road trip or two every year, playing street hockey with locals, posing for hundreds of pictures, and having a good time with fans while honoring an all-time NHL legend.
