The Knights of Kladno (@rytiriKladno on Twitter) host Mountfield Friday, Dec. 20 to start a busy week 10 day stretch that will feature five games. Recent setbacks have dropped Kladno to 13th the 14 team Extraliga, but the ninth position is only two points away as five teams are within two points of each other. Three of these five games will be with teams Kladno hopes to emerge in front of at the end of the season. The top 10 teams make the playoffs.
Jaromir Jagr’s status is a topic of concern for the sake of his health and the team’s success. Recent instagram photos show him back on the ice pushing the big weights.Does that mean he’s close? No word on other injured Kladno players.
Not up for debate is the return of Petr Vampola, who has been playing games with Slavia. A disagreement with Extraliga team Mlada Boleslov has been resolved and the veteran forward will suit up for Kladno.
Following the game a charity auction will occur at an area casino, featuring the Christmas jerseys worn at today’s game.
The next five Kladno games, three of which will be played at Kladno’s home stadium.

The first few years of this website were occupied with Jaromir Jagr’s pursuit of the heavens of the NHL scoring leaders. After my recent visit to the Czech Republic, I’ve rediscovered our new focus will be the the legend, the team and encouraging tourism to Jagr’s wonderful homeland. It was a life-changing trip for me and I’ll tell you about it in the coming weeks and other topics.
