OTTAWA–The Florida Panthers play their second game in a row against a division rival Saturday, when they play at Ottawa. The Panthers are 12-10-2 following Thursday’s 2-1 OT breakaway winner by Aleksander Barkov to beat the Detroit Red Wings. It was the top-line center’s first goal since the second game of the season and his three goals are well behind the team leading pace of 28 he recorded last season.
Jason Demers had the other goal for the Panthers, which evened the score at 1-1 in the third period.
Jaromir Jagr had a three-point game with one point and two assist the last time the Panthers played in Ottawa two weeks ago and has notched three goals and three assists in his last seven games.

Jagr now fourth all-time in games played
Jaromir Jagr played in his 1653 career game against Detroit and now sits fourth all-time. The season won’t be long enough for Jagr to move up on the list but with good health and continued interest by an NHL team he could become the NHL’s all-time games played leader next season. Sitting ahead of Jagr are #3 Ron Francis (1731 games) , #2 Mark Messier (1756) and #1 Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe (1767).
Jagr still needs seven points to tie Mark Messier
Jagr has found some points in recent weeks and if he and Barkov start to soar the Panthers should enjoy a good run as 2016 winds down.
Next week’s schedule
The road trip continues Monday in Boston and Tuesday in Philadelphia before the Panthers return home to play the Penguins and Vancouver next week.
