DENVER–The Florida Panthers came from behind early, then lost a third period lead before falling in a shootout 4-3 Thursday night at Winnipeg. The Cats are 0-1-1 on the trip and hope to salvage the last game of the three-game road trip tonight against the Avalanche in Denver.

The legend had an assist on the first of three Panthers power play goals. It was Jagr’s 100th point with the Florida Panthers and the 1884th career point of his NHL career. Mark Messier was a six-time Stanley Cup winner and played the last season of his long career as a New York Ranger with Jagr. He spoke with hockey media on a national conference call and the topic of Jagr’s milestone came up. A few stories. The first is from nhl.com.

Bobblehead auctions
At press time one of the nice Florida Panthers bobbleheads was available for $19.99 plus shipping on Ebay. That’s the cheaperst we’ve seen since they were given to fans at the Oct. 15 game with Detroit. The Panthers are also throwing one in as a bonus with a holiday ticket package.
