SUNRISE–The Florida Panthers season-high three game winning streak ended with a thud as the Los Angeles Kings built up a five-goal lead through two periods before coasting to a 6-3 victory over the Panthers Thursday night at BB&T Center.
Earlier in the day Panthers coach Tom Rowe said he’s like to coach again next season. Rowe has been interim coach since firing Gerald Gallant in November because the team wasn’t performing to his expectations. The fans let Rowe know the team isn’t performing to their expectations and targeted him with a “You Suck” chant.
Aleksander Barkov scored his 10th of the season in the final minute. Jaromir Jagr collected an assist, his 1898th career point, while Jonathon Huberdeau notched an assist on the play for his second point in two games since returning from an achilles injury that kept him out of action for the first 51 games of the season.
