Two games this week for Kladno on Wednesday and Saturday. The WSM standings and more on the new Kladno Jagr-O-Meter. We’ll share an internet feed if we find one for today’s game with Prerov which starts from noon and is on the road or “outside” as “away” translates from Czech.
Preview of today’s WSM action in Round 47
A full slate of games today in the WSM involving all 14 teams. The Knights sit in third place with 86 points while Prerov is in sixth position with 80 points. Full league standings can be observed above on the Jagr-O-Meter on today’s edition of jagrometer.com.
Jaromir Jagr will try to build on this three-point performance of his Saturday homecoming match with Venice. No reports of any aggravation to his knee after he played 20:21 in the game, most of any player on Kladno.
The minutes played was a serious upgrade over what he was playing with the Calgary Flames of the NHL where he was playing closer to 13 minutes, almost five minutes per game less than previous seasons with other NHL teams.
Adam Kubik lived the dream and performed well with the King, recording two goals and two assists in the match with Venice at Liberic. rytiriKladno.cz posted a translatable article about his first experience playing with Jagr.

Karel Plasek was the oldest player in the WSM until Jagr suited up Saturday for Kladno. He confirms the game is sold out and looks forward to only his second game ever playing against Jagr.
Nagano 1998 Gold Medal Team Celebrates Historic Feat
Jagr recalls the 1998 Olympics in articles with Czech media. The Czechs won the gold medal that year and the team had a reunion Monday which included a visit to the grave of coach Ivan Hlinka. Here are a few articles. The first has several interviews with members of the team and those don’t translate to English through computer magic.

ALERT: The 2018 Winter Olympic Games Start Thursday, Feb. 8
Meanwhile, articles continue to be written about Jagr in North America. Some of the original efforts we uncovered in recent days are linked here. The career numbers (to date) stack up nicely for Jagr.

The Travelling Jagrs ring leader Trevor Freeman appeared on NHL network to discuss possible future overseas travel for the group and the group’s hope Jagr heals and makes a return to the NHL. Clearly a pause for Jagr in the NHL is not a pause in them living up to their name.
The Travelling Jagrs used Twitter to post an article from The Hockey News that shows Jagr on a list of 30 free agents to watch this summer when the frenzy of roster shuffling starts anew.

Trinec unveils Jagr Jersey
Speaking of the Travelling Jagrs, their next jersey is already being sold by extraliga team Trinec, who Jagr will play for if games remain when Kladno’s season is complete. There’s no guarantee he will suit up for the Steelmakers this year, but the team knows a cash cow when they see it and the jerseys are now available.
A message for our Czech readers.

@68Jagr on twitter. This is the real site, the one and only official Jaromir Jagr twitter account. Postings are rare, but worth the wait.
The two best Jagr facebook pages are:

This is the page Jagr posts on, if he is going to post at all. With 700,000+ followers, he doesn’t monitor the page that closely or answer messages, so don’t be offended.
Another good facebook page is one produced by someone in the Czech Republic. It has more than 100,000 likes. This is not the official page, but it is very good.

@Zdenek_Janda Czech reporter who covers the NHL and reports on other news for the people of the Czech Republic, sometimes from the USA.
@Jsmidcro Jan Smid was a US-based Czech reporter who collaborated on “Jagr”, an autobiography in the late 90’s detailing Jagr’s early life and career in the NHL. Smid now covers international affairs but has remained friends with Jagr through the years. A good follow for his international news. The book is till available on Amazon and ebay, tells the early story of Jagr’s life and career through 1996. Comes with a nice replica autograph inside so don’t be fooled by claims that the book is hand-signed by Jagr unless there’s a second, smaller signature somewhere.

TRAVELLING JAGRS links
@68isgr8 is the twitter for The Traveling Jagrs. Clad in different Jagr jerseys and hair styles from 68’s career, they gained league-wide recognition when they caught Jagr’s attention during a pre-game skate of a Dallas Stars game in Canada during the 2012-2013 season. Since then, they convene at games in Western Canada and make a road trip or two every year, playing street hockey with locals, posing for hundreds of pictures, and having a good time with fans while honoring an all-time NHL legend. This is the official site for the group but is the personal twitter for Dallas Stars Jagr, aka Trevor Freeman
