SUNRISE, FL–On a night the Florida Panthers paid tribute to veterans with special camo warm up jerseys, the NHL’s ultimate veteran, Jaromir Jagr, showed the way to victory with a goal and an assist in Florida’s 4-3 victory over visiting Calgary. Jagr’s team leading seventh of the season was his 729th career goal and proved to be the game-winner, extending Jagr’s NHL record career total to 130. The two points give Jagr 1814 for his career and he trails Gordie Howe (1850) for third all-time.
Also scoring for the Panthers were Vincent Trocheck, (6) Reilly Smith, (5) and Aaron Eckblad (2). Ekblad slammed home a Jagr cross-ice pass.
