EDMONTON–The Florida Panthers 25-12-4-54) continue their six-game road trip with three games to Western Canada starting with Sunday night’s game with the Edmonton Oilers (17-22-3).
The Panthers have been idle since extending their winning streak to 11 with a win over Ottawa Thursday night and lead the Atlantic Division by five points. The Oilers have the worst record in the Western Conference but are only four points out of third place position in the Pacific Division.
The teams will meet again Monday, Jan. 18 at the BB&T Center. Tickets are available at panthers.nhl.com
The Oilers have struggled without phenom rookie Conner McDavid, who was injured during Edmonton’s 13th-game and had five goals and seven assists before he went down.
The Panthers were in attendance Friday night and watch state-rival Tampa Bay rally from a 2-0 to win 3-2 in overtime over the Oilers.

Enjoy the weekend. Our expanded Sunday edition comes out tomorrow. Special thanks to all the new viewers we’ve picked up from the Czech Republic. I’m tempted to find a Czech-speaking person to translate our daily efforts into Czech.
