SUNRISE–Jaromir Jagr recorded his 1,100th and 1,101 assists and his 738th career goal as the Florida Panthers padded their Atlantic Division lead to seven points following their 6-3 win over Detroit Thursday night at BB&T Center.
It was the Panthers fourth straight win who host Jagr’s first team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Saturday night at BB&T. The Penguins play second-place Tampa Bay Friday night at Amelie Arena.
The three-point night gives Jagr 1839 points. The Czech legend is now 11 points from tying Gordie Howe’s 1850 for third all-time.
Vincent Trocheck also had a three-point night with two goals (including an empty net goal) and and assist. Aleksander Barkov scored his 15th with nifty hands in the crease.
