TORONTO–The first place Florida Panthers (39-22-9-87) meet the last place Toronto Maple Leafs (24-34-22-59) Thursday day at Air Canada Centre.
A day off in Canada brings out the best from hockey writers and Wednesday the subject was Jaromir Jagr, who, among other things, leads the Panthers in scoring with 23-31-54. Jagr is tied with linemate Aleksander Barkov and Reilly Smith for the team lead in goals. Jagr has been the Panthers leading goal scorer most of the season.
