@FLAPanthers Road trip ends in PHI Tuesday after OT loss in BOS Monday; Jagr scores goal #754, career point 1881

PHILADELPHIA–The Panthers try to salvage only their second win in six games when their road trip ends Tuesday night in Philadelphia. The Panthers spent all evening coming back from one-goal deficits but there are no second chances in overtime and David Pastrnak’s second goal sealed the win for the home team after the Panthers three skaters froze in place and watched the speedy wing drive to the net.

Jaromir Jagr’s fifth goal of the season tied the game at 1-1. It was Jagr’s 754th career goal and also his 1881 career point as he closes in on the NHL’s second all-time point producer, who retired with 1887 points.

Barkov, Demers also score for Florida

Aleksander Barkov, the center on Jagr’s line, also scored his fourth of the season. In the last 10 days both sleeping giants have started to come to life giving hope that the Panthers  (12-11-3) can start scoring goals and winning some games. Jason Demers scored the other Panthers goal, his fourth of the season, and was observed checking a Bruins forward in front of the Florida net for maybe the first time all season, a situation that almost escalated into roughing!
