@FlaPanthers 6 – Sharks 5 (OT); Jagr A on Barkov G is point 1900

SAN JOSE–The Florida Panthers gained and lost a pair of two-goal leads to the San Jose Sharks before Jonathon Huberdeau’s game winning goal in overtime saved the day for Florida as the Panthers celebrated Jaromir Jagr’s 45th birthday with a 6-5 win.

Also of note: Jagr recorded his 1900th career point with a slick assist which Aleksander Barkov buried for his second goal of the game and a short-lived 5-3 Panthers lead.  An estimated 500 Czech Republic expats were in attendance to witness the latest feat of their homeland’s national hero, according to NBCSports.  As far as his birthday, this was the eighth game Jagr played on his birthday and he’s recorded seven points (2G+5A) in those games.

Facebook message from Jagr

“Hi hr. Thank you all for the wishes and gifts for my 45th birthday. And speaking of those gifts, so i also gave one today. Item #1900 😀”
