SCORING CHANGE:
The NHL announced Wednesday morning that Jaromir Jagr has been awarded the second assist on the goal scored by Vincent Trocheck in Saturday’s game with Columbus.
OFFICIAL SCORING CHANGE: Game #923 – @FlaPanthers at @BlueJacketsNHL. Goal at 10:28 of 2nd period now reads Trocheck from Petrovic & Jagr.
The assist now gives Jagr 1849 career points and he’ll enter Thursday’s game at Colorado with a chance to tie Gordie Howe for third place as the NHL’s all-time point producer.
Here is the scoring play which was corrected with the NHL’s announcement.

A statistical error to the above graphic will be corrected later. Jagr now has 27 goals and 38 assists for 65 points in 80 games with the Florida Panthers for a per game average of .813.
Game 63: FLORIDA 3-WINNIPEG 2
WINNIPEG: The Florida Panthers goals came from their top two-goal getters in a 3-2 win over Winnipeg. Reilly Smith scored two goals which set the table for Jaromir Jagr to net the game winner from between the circles for his 21st goal of the season and the 743rd of his career.
The goal extended Jagr’s NHL record for game winning goals to 133 and in the process he raised his career point total to 1848* and needs two to tie Gordie Howe’s career total of 1850 for third all-time in NHL history.
With the win Florida regained sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Division with 80 points. Jagr’s goal and the rest of the NHL.com highlights can be seen here….

Jiri Hudler, acquired by Florida Saturday afternoon from Calgary, played with Jagr and Aleksander Barkov. He seemed to struggle in the early going but was starting to figure out how to play with his two linemates by the third period. Looking more impressive was Teddy Purcell, acquired from Edmonton and like Hudler also saw some power play time.
Four Atlantic Division teams played Tuesday and the updated standings show how the division looks heading into Wednesday’s games.
The JAGRometer.com effort to get the assist awarded caught the attention of Denik Sport, a newspaper in the Czech Republic.
In cased you missed it, here’s what the fuss was all about…
Translated to Czech, the graphic reads….

In other Jagr news….
The Czech national team is rounding out its roster. For now, Jaromir Jagr is not on the list of Czech players for the tournament preceding the 2016-2017 NHL season.
Don´t expect Jaromir Jagr to be on the Czech initial roster for World Cup tomorrow. Coaches give him more time to decide if he wants to play
