CALGARY–As clarified by the Calgary Flames Friday, Jaromir Jagr is day-to-day. He will not be playing in tonight’s gamee with the Anahiem Ducks at the Saddledome.

Jagr did not play in the Calgary Flames 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings Thursday night at the Sadddledome. This stirred up all kinds of speculation and that his absence was a healthy scratch set off international debate that he might be retiring, put on long-term injured reserve, cut, traded or outright quitting and maybe going to join the Czech Olympic team. The pre-game comments of Flames coach Glen Gulutzan announced he’d have more news on Jagr’s status the next day.
What happened Friday? Gulutzan announced that Jagr is injured and is day to day, which is pretty much what he’s been all season. It was calming news for Jagr fans around the world that he’s going to keep on healing and try to find some magic now and then in the meager 13 minutes a game he is getting on the Flames lower lines.
